I have to stitch a ton of Bargello this month. And while normally I don’t have problems with color schemes, I’d love to showcase some different things.

I’m going to be trying to make (and finish) a Bargello every few days and I want your help. This month’s thread giveaway has a theme, color schemes.

In your comment I’d like you to tell me a color scheme. It can be one you use all the time, one you’d like to use on a project, or one you saw someplace and filed away.

Make a comment on this post with your color scheme and one commenter will be picked at the end of the month to receive some threads.

This time of year I love all the colors in daffodils — it’s amazing how many different yellows there are. And some even have orange, apricot and pink. Thanks for the chance for the giveaway.

I like royal tones together–gold, emerald, a deep blue and a deep red, like a maroon or burgandt

Pink and browns would be nice, maybe even a little orange in there would be good!

I love the chocolate browns with the tourquois blues combination. But who could resist the brown and pink combo or the tried and true pink and green. Can’t wait to try the bargello combos. Just finished my winter stars using my scrap pearl cottons. Love the shine texture. Gayle B

My current favorite color scheme is Aubergene (eggplant purple), cream/ecru, rusty red (think DMC 355) and a medium avocado green. Add a touch of gold and I would be in heaven. I do crazy quilts, too and have done several the past few months in variations of these colors with great success. I would love to have my name put in your drawing for the threads.

I’ve been doing the bargello thing recently also thanks to Liz Morrow’s articles in Needlepoint Now.

A color scheme I’d love to see it robin’s egg blue with chocolate brown and cream. That’s my bedroom!

Soft seaglass blues and greens that evoke ocean breezes in the summertime. I am so drawn to these colors.

I love to see all shades of yellows, oranges, and browns blended to create a feeling of a sunset in the desert. I can never have too many threads. Thanks for this giveaway.

Why not a colour scheme for each season?
For spring – light yellow, green, baby pinks and blues
For summer – bright yellows, oranges, and reds
For autumn – Russet colours, red and brown tones
And finally a lovely icy blue, grey and white winter scheme.

    My fav combos are:
Chocolate brown and baby pink with just a touch of a soft light green(luv it!)
I’ve got my kitchen done in this combo: Spring Green, accented by deep cobalt blue and Butter yellow with just a touch of Mocha.

Love the pic above colors too!

I was thinking of your colour schemes yesterday when I bought some yarn to crochet some toys for my daughter’s first birthday. The yarn I got was a gorgeous rich combination of red, pink and orange which I’m really looking forward to work with. A bargello design worked in those colours would be really striking! I’ve also been on Flickr to find you some red/orange/pink combinations, so how about this or this? They’re not quite the rich reds and orange of the yarn I bought yesterday, but gorgeous colours.

Right now i’m doing a cross stitch SAL with the colors lavendars and teals. There are probably 5 shades of each color and they are gorgeous together. In Bargello they would also be fabulous.
