Starting later this week, and continuing throughout the month, I’ll be doing a Virtual Book Tour of blogs and sites in conjunction with my new book on Bargello.
I’ve got lots of cool things planned as part of the tour. Later in the month, Orna Willis and I will be doing a Bargello challenge. She’s picking the colors for me and I’m picking the colors for her. We’ll both be stitching the same pattern so you will be able to see the results side by side.
I’m going to visit Susan Sorrell’s blog on June 13 with a new pattern and a discussion about the process of planning the color scheme and how I developed it.
On June 25, there is another challenge visit, to Cyn Stitches, Cindy and I are also stitching two mini-socks using the same pattern.
On Thursday of this week (June 5), I’m visiting Pierrette’s great blog, where you will be able to see my life in Bargello with pictures of many of my older pieces along with several new ones. Her current posts are about a lovely Susan Portra project which includes some Bargello.
There will also be a Question and Answer session for Caroline’s Thread and Canvas about mid-month. And a Needlepoint for Fun article at the end of the month.
I’ve also got stops planned at Kali’s Creations, Donna’s, and Jane’s blogs, as well as at Independent Needlework News and Craft Gossip.
I’m currently looking for a place for an article about the historical background of Bargello, and there is plenty of space for additional stops, so if you are interested, drop me an email and we’ll go from there.

Janet, I ordered your book from Amazon but it is on backorder or not currently available. Do you know when it will be available to ship from Amazon? Thanks!
Carol –
Thanks for asking. Because of the way Amazon handles small publishers, this book is on consignment with them. It will always say out of stock. They order from me when they get orders and I ship the book out to them within one business day and then they ship to you.
If you want a copy more immediately, contact Needle in a Haystack (http://www.needlestack.com). They can get the book to you more quickly.
Your local ship may also be able to get it quickly through Rainbow Gallery who currently has it in stock for delivery to stores. And their stock, at the moment, is autographed.
Keep Stitching,
Janet
