CyberPointers Update

January 3, 2000

Have you joined CyberPointers (the on-line chapter of ANG) yet?

There is a wonderful original project going on right now (our January meeting), and three simply fantastic things coming up, which are open only to members.

First, the March meeting will be the Folding ORT Box from ANG’s Chapter Project Book. My ANG chapter stitched this awhile ago and I missed the program. I’ve been waiting to do it ever since.

Second, the marvelous Jim Wurth will be teaching a workshop, Minerva, starting March 1. The project is lovely, it uses threads from your stash, and is a great value. I’m so excited about this one.

Finally, and just starting, is our first Stitch Along. It Orna Willis’s lovely Midnight Garden, available on the Caron Collection site. The SAL will last six months and there will be a prize for those who complete the project. I’m not a black canvas kind of person, and I’m thinking about what color of canvas to use for this charming piece, which has been on my to-do list for a long time.

Also coming up, there will be Group Correspondence Courses, special interest groups, great programs every other month, and lots more.

If you haven’t already get in on the action by joining the group today.

stash credits +1282, with 261 threads used up.

Join the fun by counting your thread credits. +1 for every thread used from stash. +4 more if you use it up. -2 if you buy a new thread for a project.

In spite of all this, the stash is still HUGE!
