Daiva --

The simple advice is to look for a hand-painted canvas. Look especially for one which has the intersections clearly marked.

They are more expensive, but MUCH easier to stitch.

Look at the blog for May 13th which will have more information.

Keep Stitching,
Janet

Just a quick question if I may. Is it easier to needlepoint if you purchase a hand painted pattern. I've
bought Dimension brands and other store brands and end
up giving up since it is close to impossible to see the
colors that I'm supposed to be needlepointing. Especially the small spots. I'd like to do one I wouldn't have to give up on. One I could See! Any advice? Daiva

Janet,

I had been wondering for some time now if the wasted canvas was any good for needlepointing as it seems that most people whom I have seen used it in the past have been using it for cross stitching.

Glad to find out that it can also be used for needlepoint.

Thanks for an informative blog entry.
