Do you have a ton of needlepoint ornaments you wish you could showcase?
Are you hesitating about finishing some of your stitching because you don’t have a lovely way to show off these little bits of stitching?
The photo here shows Pam’s stunning Icelandic Advent Tree and while she is using it to display her woven paper hearts for Advent, the construction and the size make it just perfect as a showcase for needlepoint.
You can even customize it easily in some simple ways. Use colored wood balls instead of the natural ones. Stain or paint the wooden “branches.” Put it up on a stand of some kind to make it taller.
Pam shows you how she made hers in this fantastic, lavishly illustrated post on Gingerbread Snowflakes.
I’m crazy in love with this tree and, since making it isn’t a possibility right now, I wish I knew where to buy one.
