Gatherings by Orna — First Look

April 8, 2011

I just received my sample of Thread Gatherings from Orna and if my stand-alone kits is any indication — this will be amazingly amazing!

My cats got to the tissue paper so I can’t show you how it was wrapped, but it was like Christmas. The whole kit was wrapped up in one big sheet of tissue paper and closed with a sticker.

Inside I found the leader copy for the cuff bracelet Grecian Glory in a clear plastic envelope, two sets of stretcher bars, the canvas (wrapped in its own tissue paper, another envelope with the copper wire for making the bracelet, and a lovely box, tied with a ribbon.

Inside that box I found a metal box with a clear inset on top with threads, needles, Ultrasuede for lining, and a small piece of canvas, two packages of beads, a pencil, a box of brass tacks with puller, a pair of scissors with a bead fob (in carnelian one of my favorites) and a small graph paper notebook.

This is so wonderful and packaged with such care. I can’t wait to stitch it!

Are there other projects of Thread Gatherings in a Box besides the bracelet?

This approach is a wonderful idea for those of us who like to get together socially and stitch.

    Thanks.

I believe Orna is planning more, but the best way to find out is to visit her site & get on her mailing list.

    Keep Stitching,
    Janet
