I mostly do medium projects up to about 14″square, lately I’ve been working on some larger projects. Very seldom do small.

A headboard??? I about choked…lol. I’m in awe. I lean toward the smaller projects also. I’m just starting a 9.5 x 9.5 needlepoint and working on a 4 x 4 cross stitch. While I think they are gorgeous, I don’t see myself ever doing a rug or headboard.
I apparently was hard-wired for big projects! I’ve completed one 4′ x 6′ rug, which I designed from scratch; am maxing out my 40″ canvas on a large peacock, which I’m designing as I go, have one Art Deco-style rug on the boards… It’s hard for me to design to smaller spaces, because I love to convert those pixels into real ornamental detail. It’s great practice to squeeze the detail into smaller spaces, though, and I admire people who can do it well. Anything smaller than 18″ just seems unnatural to me!
