Leaf Mask & needlepoint stitch guide

I’m at the last stage of doing the Leaf Mask model for Dragon Fire Designs, adding the veins in the leaves. The veins are done in Whipped Chain Stitch and if you look closely you can see what effect this has. On the orange leaf with veins, a couple are wrapped, but most are not.

The lines which are wrapped look completely solid, stand up from the canvas more, and sre narrower.

I love making whipped versions of stitches, it’s such fun.

The canvas and stitch guide will be available to shops through Sherry’s distributor, wandering Wolf Designs. Your shop should be able to see the model at TNNA in June.
