Cris --

You make a large stocking, just the way you would make a mini-sock. There's a great tutorial on the Caron Collection site at: http://www.caron-net.com/featurefiles/featdecfiles/featdec.html. The only difference is the size of everything.

Keep Stitching,
Janet

I am in desperate need of help. I am an very experienced cross-stitcher and have done some pretty intricate needlepoint. But I have taken on a project as a favor for a friend. It is a Christmas stocking about 24" in length. I have successfully completed the stitching part, but am now at an impass as to how to assemble it. How do I get the lining and backing attached, trim the seams without cutting the actual stitches? I am assembling the stocking with cording around the edges. Help!!! I am an experienced stitcher, but have never done a needlepoing stocking. Any suggestions as to where to go to get detailed instructions?

Thank you,
Cris Buhler
