It’s worth repeating — all threads have dyelot numbers, but they may not tell you them. Embroidery floss and pearl from the big manufacturers have been guilty of this. It has never made me happy because I hate not having the information I need to stitch properly.
It turns out that DMC has this information and now, according to a blog post from Needle Nicely, you can too. This is wonderful news for stitchers.
Now can other thread companies take note and do the same thing?
