There are lots of exciting new needlepoint products at the Winter TNNA sow which opens this morning. In articles over the past couple of weeks (here, here, and here) I’ve told you about many of them. But there are even more I couldn’t tell you about until today.
Look for more posts about the show tomorrow and Monday and, if needed, Tuesday.
In addition to the beachy micro mini-socks, Associated Talents has a series of elf micro mini-socks with more traditional Christmas themes. Rebecca Wood has added another new basket series, similar to last year’s basket nativity, this time it’s for Halloween with stitch guides by Cynthia Thomas.
Danji Designs has many new designs out as well. These include a charming series based on Japanese Kokeshi dolls and a cute series of owls, all done in similar colors. They also have several new Laurel Burch canvases. There are also several holiday-themed pairs. One canvas is a cat and one a mouse. There are ones for St. Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, the Fourth of July, Halloween, and Thanksgiving. I love that the two canvases go together but don’t match. This will make them fun to stitch.
Speaking of Kokeshi dolls, J. Malahy has a series of six that have stitch patterns painted on their clothes. Eye Candy also has some new cat canvases. I still have one of her first black cats I bought when she was starting out, these are great additions.
Alice Peterson’s popular Birds of Color needlepoint canvas has now been added to their self-finishing accessories in the Stitch & Zip line. The design is available as an eyeglass case, change purse, scissors case, & ebook cover. Barbara Elmore has several canvases of her character, Mrs. Birdie, doing various things. There is one of her reading that is delightful & playful. Her book is “The Empty Nest”. Fantastic!
Rogue Needlepoint, available at Amy’s Golden Strand, has increased the number of their adorable small figures. There are now six Downton Abbey figures, Lucy & Ricky Ricardo (I Love Lucy), and male and female doctors and graduates. Rumor has it there is a Doctor Who figure, but it isn’t on the site.
Rainbow Gallery has new colors in several threads. The line-up is 3 in Neon Rays Plus, 7 in Soft Sheen Fyre Werks, 22 in Petite Silk Lame Braid, 11 in Silk Lame 13ct, 14 in Silk Lame’ 13ct, and 1 in Wisper. Although color numbers are the same in related threads, the same colors may not be available in all sizes. The Collection has added flat-backed Swarovski crystals that can be sewn on to their embellishment line. Your shops may have them soon because they are at Sample It!
Kreinik’s new thread is called Easter braid. The color number is 9032. It’s made from Easter Grass but in a format that should be easier to use. It is available in blending filament, #4, #8, #12, and #16 braid and in both widths of metallic ribbon. I can’t wait to try it.
Please remember that this TNNA show is an order only show. Unless something was available at Friday’s Sample It! event, your shop needed to order it. It will not be in the shop, or your hands, for a bit.
