I often pat myself on the back when I consider how lucky I am to live ion San Francisco. It took me about 30 seconds of seeing the skyline late at night on my first trip here to fall in love with it and that hasn’t faltered in more than 30 years.
I enjoy stitching San Francisco themed needlepoint and, judging from my emails, you do too. Visiting here, these make lovely mementos of your trip, living here, they are great for gifts. Her are some of my favorites.

Starting out with something big, bold, and beautiful, how about the “Christmas in The City” stocking from DJ Designs? I love it because it has so many wonderful buildings. It’s a great piece and if you don’t want a stocking there are two rectangular versions and one of the bridge, Santa, and the moon.

Painted Pony has travel angels and rounds. The San Francisco travel angel includes the Golden Gate Bridge, some ‘painted lady” Victorians, and our lovely hills. There is also a round and wine-themed angels and rounds.

Designs by Petei has an extensive line of destination mini-socks. I’ve stitched both the California(pictured above) and San Francisco ones for friends. In Good Company also makes a San Francisco sock.

Needlepoint Broad has some unusual canvases, such as this one of fireworks and the Golden Gate. I’m particularly fond of this because the City’s big fireworks display looks like this from the Marin side of the bridge. She also has a postcard of san Francisco,
Finally, consider a needlepoint from one of our local designers, Peter Ashe. His canvas often depict San Francisco houses, especially Victorians, and are often available on eBay.
