I must admit that I am tremendously behind this month, every project I needed to do or work on got delayed horribly. Including the Twinchy challenge. My food & drink Twinchies got no further than print outs for ideas.

Coffee Mug Twinchy by Jocelyn

Jocelyn made this absolutely delightful Twinchy of a coffee mug. And blogged about it. I like the charming use of a bit of Bargello on the mug and the inventive use of Giant Brick Stitch (horizontal instead of the usual vertical) for the background.

What’s a twinchy? I saw the quilt blocks but must have missed the explanation.

A Twinchy is a 2 inch square piece of needlepoint. Modeled after the Inchies popular in quilting, embroidery, and mixed media circles, these little bits of needlepoint give you room for creativity. Each month on the first, I announce the theme for the month. You can do anything you like with the theme.

On the last day of the month, I have a gallery of the Twinchies I’ve done as well as links or pictures of Twinchies people have sent me.

If you want to see all the posts on Twinchies, click on twinchy in the category list to the right of this column.

    Keep Stitching,
    Janet
