I was blown away by Sue Dulles’ recent post about color on her blog, Sudukc’s Needleart & Other Musings.
I highly recommend it.
Finding good advice on color is hard and finding advice that is applicable to stitcher’s is even harder.
That’s why this post is so great. First you’ll learn about creating a color wheel and why you should do more than one. Then you’ll learn a bit about color systems.
Next is a wonderful list of books where you can learn more about color, art books, quilt books,, and needlework books. The list has many of my favorites in it.
Next she looks at tools for beading, another area where needlepointers can get great color ideas. I know I find my beading books on color very inspiring. These resources include web sites and ebooks.
I’m looking forward to trying out many of these resources.
