Hi , I am a member of a small United Methodist church in Blairsville and we want to look into stitching altar rail kneeling pads. Can you give us some tips on getting started with this challenge.
Thanks, Barbara
My stitch group finished kneelers for a church. It is a HUGE project! Here is how we organized it:
1. We designated one of our own to be the “Project Manager”. This person was in charge of any problems encountered. For Example when there was a shortage of thread because of having to pick out mistakes.
2. We set a specific day and time of the week to meet and stitch.
3. Each stitcher had a personal goal of stitching 2 15-inch lengths of thread per day as a minimum. Of course we stitched more, but on rough days, 2 lengths allowed the stitcher to make progress.
4. We selected a finisher before we started the project so that they knew it was coming and could allot the appropriate amount of time for our church deadline.
5. We had a “refresher course” on basketweave.
6. One of our stitchers put every stitcher’s initials in the exact same place on all canvases.
7. We all had so much fun that we stitched a creche that had 25 pieces!
Good luck!
Would like to get the pattern for the canvas house on yourwebsite, can you help me please?
Thank you,

Looking for needlepoint college logos and sorority ornament canvases.
Thank you !
Lesha Nix
College logos on needlepoint canvas are a problem because the use of logos is licensed and very expensive.
School Needlepoint (http://www.schoolneedlepoint.com) does great and nicely priced custom canvases for schools and colleges.
I’ve had one done for myself and it’s great.
Keep Stitching,
Janet
do u have a newsletter? do u sell plastic canvas for coasters?
This blog is my newsletter, although I’ll add you to my mailing list. I’m not a shop, so I don’t sell plastic canvas.
Keep Stitching,
Janet
Hi Janet, my name is Debbie and I just moved to Napa in December from Chicago. I ended up at your website quite by happy accident!
Where does one find a great array of threads and fibers? I am sooooo spoiled as I had shoppes to the north, south, east and west of me all within less than an hours drive. I’m a little lost
Any help would be greatly appreciated
