Use Scrapbook Papers to Make Distinctive Mats

September 17, 2011

Thanks to the folks at BeStitched in Phoenix, we have a fantastic video on Facebook of how to use scrapbook papers to make exciting mats for your needlepoint.

The delightful Barbara Elmore was in town to teach and class and shows us, using a scan of one of her pieces and actual scrapbook papers, how to audition paper for your mat.

She also shows us how to find the best area of the paper for the mat. Even better she shows us several papers that don’t work, so we know what to watch out for.

There is also a video from BeStitched about laying tools.

Inspiring stuff!
