Using snap trays (called this because the corners snap together to create the tray) has become a popular way for stitcher’s to store tools, embellishments and more. Most often made from fabric, these little trays are unusual because they are made from oilcloth and vinyl.
Small (4×3), the inside is colorful oilcloth and the outside is sparkly vinyl. Unlike most other snap trays I’ve used, these do not have a cardboard square at the bottom. They are not stiff.
While this is no problem for holding tools or ORTs, it does cause rounded corners and wrinkles in the bottom, so beads or small embellishments would be hard to pick up.
I love it’s small size and the flexibility that comes from the soft bottom. It makes a great traveling ORT container and deserves a place near your stitching chair to corral tools. At the moment I’m keeping it atr my desk to hold thumbtacks, I’m taking off stitched pieces.`
